Base44 manages your app’s key SEO settings, including your sitemap, robots.txt, manifest, and favicon. When you publish your app on a custom domain, search engines can find and index your content without any extra effort. You do not need to set up, upload, or change any SEO files yourself. Just publish on a custom domain and your app is ready for discovery.
Automatic SEO features work only if your app is published on a custom domain.

How Base44 manages your site’s SEO settings

We handle updates like sitemap, robots.txt, manifest, favicon, and similar site settings automatically for custom domains. You don’t need to take any action, everything runs in the background for you.
  • Sitemap: Helps search engines discover and index your pages. It may take some time for Google and other search engines to process the changes.
  • robots.txt: Controls which parts of your site search engines can access. Changes are automatic, but indexing updates depend on the search engines’ schedule.
  • Manifest: Provides metadata about your site for browsers and devices. Updates are applied automatically, but display may vary depending on the platform.
  • Favicon: Your app’s logo is used as the favicon on the browser. While updated automatically, Google and some browsers may take time to reflect the change or may choose not to display it in certain contexts.
If you recently published or switched to a custom domain, it can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for new or updated apps to be indexed by Google and other search engines, depending on their crawl schedule.

Managing social share details for your app

You can update your app’s social share details by editing the title, description, and logo in your app’s settings.
At this time, social share information is set at the app level and not individually per page.
Analytics and SEO tools may detect meta tags added in your app, but recognition can vary depending on how external platforms process and display this information. If you’d like to see more customization options for social sharing, or have suggestions for improvements, we encourage you to share your feedback at feedback.base44.com.
