Launchpad hosts contests such as Best app of the week. Each contest has its own page with its voting dates, prizes, and rules. Winners are chosen by community vote or, in Judged contests, by a Base44 panel from the top-voted apps. Contests shared by link only show an Invite only badge. Browse the current contest under Current week, or explore winners and other apps from past public contests in Wall of fame. Between contests, Wall of fame is the only tab. Before you enter a contest:
  • Your app must be public and published.
  • Submit before voting opens. Some contests also accept entries during voting.
  • New listings must be approved before they appear on Launchpad.
  • Each app can enter one contest at a time.
  • You can have one approved app per contest.
  • Some contests limit entries or restrict eligible categories.

Preparing your submission

A strong submission helps people decide to try your app and vote for it.

Add screenshots or a short demo video that show your app at its best.
Use these tips to make your submission stronger:
  • Choose accurate categories: Select up to 3 categories that best describe your app.
  • Tell the story: Explain who your app is for, why you built it, and what makes it different.
  • Use content you have rights to: Upload only content you own or have permission to use.

Submitting your app

Choose a contest and submit your app with the details people see on Launchpad. To submit your app to Launchpad:
  1. Open Launchpad or your contest:
    • In the sidebar, under Community, click Launchpad.
    • For an invite-only contest, open the link shared with you.
  2. On the contest’s card or page, click Submit your app.
  3. Select your app, then click Continue. If your app already has a Launchpad listing, this enters it in the contest and you’re done.
  4. On the Submit your app page, complete the following sections:
    • Selected app: Review your app and its security scan. If the scan finds issues, fix them so your app can be listed. To switch apps, click Select another app. To update your app, click Manage app.
    • Launch details: Select up to 3 categories, enter a short Tagline, and add a Description that explains who your app is for, why you built it, and what makes it different. Click Improve with AI to refine your description, then click Preview your Launchpad card to check your listing.
    • Showcase your app: Upload up to 5 screenshots or a demo video. Screenshots work best at 1280 x 720 pixels or larger, and videos can be MP4 or WebM, up to 50 MB. Drag items to reorder them.
    • Rules: If this section appears, review the contest’s rules.
    • Terms & Conditions: Click Read to review the Launchpad Terms of Service.
  5. Click Submit.

Tracking and managing your submission

Go to My submissions to check your listing’s status, edit its details, withdraw your app from a contest, or remove its Launchpad listing. To track and manage your submission:
  1. In the sidebar, under Community, click Launchpad.
  2. Click My submissions in the page header.
  3. Beside your app, choose an action:
    • View: Open its Launchpad page.
    • View contest: Open the contest your app entered, even after it ends.
    • Edit submission: Update your submission details.
      • Before voting opens, or outside a contest: Editing an approved listing sends it back for review, and it’s hidden from Launchpad until it’s approved again.
      • While voting is live: You can change only the logo and screenshots. Approved listings stay live when you do.
      • After voting ends: Your approved listing is locked to preserve the contest results, so you can’t edit it or remove it from Launchpad.
    • Withdraw from contest: Remove your app from the contest before voting opens. Your Launchpad listing stays live, but your app’s votes and comments from that contest are permanently deleted. Click Withdraw to confirm or Keep entry to cancel.
    • Remove from Launchpad: Delete your Launchpad listing, including its votes and comments, without deleting your app. If your app is in a contest, removing the listing also withdraws it from that contest. You can remove the listing until voting ends. Click Withdraw to confirm or Keep submission to cancel.

Sharing your app

Share your listing to bring more people to your app. On your app’s Launchpad page, click Share to post to Facebook, LinkedIn, X, or WhatsApp, or click Copy link to share it anywhere. When sharing your app, include:
  • What your app does.
  • Who it helps.
  • A direct link to your Launchpad listing.
  • A clear ask to try the app and vote.

Replying to comments

Reply to comments on your Launchpad listing to answer questions and engage with the community. Your replies appear in threads with an App’s creator badge. To reply to a comment:
  1. Open your app’s Launchpad page.
  2. Go to the Comments section.
  3. Click Reply on the comment.
  4. Enter your reply.
  5. Click Reply.
React to any comment with a like or dislike. To add your own comment, enter it in the comment box, then click Post. You can also click Report to flag a comment for review.

FAQs

Your app keeps its Launchpad listing. Apps from public contests appear in Wall of fame under Top launched apps. To browse an earlier week, select Last week or a Week of date in the week picker.
Yes. Once a contest ends, you can enter the same app in another contest.
Yes, before voting opens. In My submissions, click Withdraw from contest, then Withdraw to confirm. Your app stays on Launchpad, but its votes and comments from that contest are permanently deleted. You can then enter it from another contest’s card or page.
Review the feedback shown in Launchpad, update your app or submission details, then submit it again.
Anyone can browse Launchpad. To vote for apps, sign in to Base44. You can upvote each app except your own once per day, and your votes add up over time.
Base44 adds prize credits to your account after winners are confirmed and announced.
Click Open Security, fix the issues, then click Run scan again. Apps with unresolved security issues may not be listed on Launchpad.
Yes. Share your listing with your network and relevant communities. Bots, fake accounts, automated scripts, and other vote manipulation methods aren’t allowed.
